County Schools to Restructure Under Superintendent Plan
The county schools office outlines a reorganization affecting nine instructors, with most schools having one teacher except Faxon which has six. At Gerona the eighth grade is large, boosting high school enrollment next year to about 15, while the eighth grade has 16 students and only 11 will graduate. The plan routes state aid and general funds to receiving districts and expects to pass, with residents deciding on the fate of a grade school. Average daily attendance figures for 1955-56 show variances across districts, including Faxon, Geronimo, and Roseland, with changes anticipated this year.

School Bill Seeks Aid Reform and Higher Attendance
The plan would cut about seven million in costs and fund the remainder from surplus general revenue or higher valuations. Minimum daily attendance for state aid would rise to 40 high school students and 15 in grade schools, leaving small districts without aid. Officials estimate aid for roughly 100 high schools and 159 elementary schools. A House vote delayed the bill to Monday. Separate debate over federal funds for interstate highway right of way ended with a Senate refusal to accept House amendments and a conference committee requested. Tulsa hosts a two day Oklahoma Utilities Association convention with about 460 delegates from 19 member companies.
