Napolitano reshapes veterans home oversight in Arizona
Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano removed the head of the Department of Veterans Services from direct responsibility for the Arizona State Veteran Home in Phoenix after a federal penalty of 10000 dollars for substandard care. Department director Patrick F. Chorpenning remains in place but will be separated from home operations. The home serves up to 200 veterans, mostly from World War I and Korea.
