A 4 year old boy Donovan James Armstrong and his dog were struck by an Union Pacific locomotive near Grandview Park in Leawood five miles west of Barstow California. The boy's 13 year old aunt had warned him to move away from the tracks but he went back to fetch the dog. The engine driver attempted to brake but could not stop before the boy was dragged about 130 feet. The incident occurred Saturday. The report cites sheriff's deputies and Sgt. Terry McDonald.
