Dream of Never-Built Liverpool Cathedral Captured in 1:48 Scale Model
A 1 48 scale wooden model of Edwin Lutyens' envisioned domed cathedral for Liverpool is on display at the Walker Art Gallery. Restored after years of deterioration, the model stands 12.5 feet high and 17 feet long, reflecting a dream halted after Archbishop Downey’s death in 1953.
