Umpire Chief Denies Sooner State Officiating Critique
TED RALSTON of the minor leagues rejects a Ada Evening News quote alleging he called Sooner State league officiating the worst this year. In Lawton for a visit, Johnson praised the level of play and said he would aid young umpires as he tours his district. He has officiated over 6,000 games in 30 years and plans to proceed to the west coast before returning to Chicago. The Ada Hereford Club hosts a steak dinner after rising to third place with a 20-20 record following a double win over the Chickasha Chiefs.
