One Pacific Western DC, after takeoff from Port Harry, killed eleven with four survivors. A light plane near Hardinsburg, Ky, killed three Travis men. A North Central Airlines DC3 made a safe wheels-up landing in Minneapolis with seven passengers and three crew escaping injury.
