American Style Learning Center Promotes Self Education
Jeff Mitchiner leads a five house, Midtown Atlanta community of 75 residents born from the 1975 move of University of Iowa students. The center emphasizes peer teaching in music languages and history, funded by resident rents, with no outside grants. It aims to rekindle community ties and foster self education beyond formal schools.
