Truman To Honor Simon Bolivar In Bolivar Independence Day Ceremony

Cairo July 5 AP Count Folke Bernadotte asked Arabs and Jews to extend the armistice in Palestine. Both sides reportedly rejected his peace plan but a four week truce expires Friday. Racing Car Driver Held in Indiana Assault Case

OWOSSO Mich July 3. Kelly Petrillo a 44 year old well known racing car driver of Indianapolis was held on an Indiana pickup order in connection with the stabbing of his former secretary. Indianapolis authorities asked officers to watch all race tracks in the area for Petrillo. He said he would fight extradition. Duane W Kear mid Indians notified him Petrillo was charged with assault and battery with intent to kill after the secretary was stabbed seriously.

Rites Pending For Mrs Ford

Mrs Dora Ellen Ford 51 of Lawton died suddenly of a heart attack at a son's home in Lawton. Native of Fort Smith Ark she married in 1911 and lived near Fort Cobb before moving to Lawton six years ago. Survived by husband W J Ford sons Delmer Deane Jackie Melvin Ford Concord Maes Lorece Ford and three others plus four Graham brothers and three grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Lawton Funeral Home.
