Inmates Hold Ten Hostages At BC Penitentiary
Inmates at the British Columbia Penitentiary held seven women and three men hostage for transfers to another prison. RCMP negotiators met with the inmates after more than 30 hours of the standoff. A tentative transfer proposal to Millhaven Prison was discussed, with Ottawa to approve final details.
