Bilhorn baby organ’s prairie gospel saga recalled in museum notes
A four octave Bilhorn baby organ, three feet high with two foot pedals, once owned by Pilgrim Congregational Church in Arkansas City, served sacred music at church gatherings and on Oklahoma prairie runs. Dr DeLong used it to calm homesteaders, and Mrs DeLong’s 1937 letter recalls vast crowds, singing Wonderful Words of Life. The organ remains operable and linked to pioneer memories.
