Store Hijackers Leave No Clues
City detectives said late this morning they have several suspects in mind but had made no arrests by noon in the armed robbery Tuesday evening of residential grocer Don C. Wolfe at 1615 Taft. The loot, estimated at 681 dollars in currency, was carried off by two bandits who wore ladies hose over their faces. $1, $5 and $20 bills were taken, while $10 bills were left. The bandits forced Wolfe to lie in the rear of the store and compelled employee Clarice Brown to open the cash register. Mrs. Wolfe saw the robbers from the rear store room, ran to summon police.
