Four Vehicle Bridge Crash Kills Three Near Union City Oklahoma
A ice slick on the South Canadian River bridge south of Union City caused a collision among a wheat truck and three cars, killing three people and injuring six. The dead include Mrs Elbert Cox and her daughter Sharon Cox of Enid and a Bowie Texas youth. Several others were hospitalized, and witnesses described a bridge coated with ice and flames.

C124 Crash Lands in Han River Near Seoul
An Air Force C124 carrying 159 American servicemen crash landed on an island in the Han River near Seoul. Initial reports said no fatalities. At least 22 men were taken to a nearby Army hospital with 11 on stretchers. some evacuated by helicopter. The craft, from Japan, had crew of 10 and was returning servicemen from leave.
