Coffee Executive Herschel Duncan Dies In Fall
Herschel M. Duncan, 76, head of the Duncan Coffee Co., died after falling down a stairway at his River Oaks home in Houston. His wife Linnie found him at the foot of the stairs. He had been in apparently good health aside from cataracts and was a Fountain Run Kentucky native who rose to lead a major firm.

King Harry I Threats Eisenhower in Harrisonia Letter
Secret Service chief A E Baughman testified before a House subcommittee that a letter signed King Harry I of Harrisonia threatened to confront President Eisenhower over a new state. The sender was traced to a 12 year old Harry Harrison and friends who mailed cereal boxtops to claim a square inch of Alaska and form their own country. The boy received a severe lecture and surrendered his citizenship.

City Man Jailed For Rape and Assault
A 26-year-old Lawton man is jailed on investigation of a 5 AM rape of a 21-year-old in the south part of town and a 10:45 PM assault on a 21-year-old at 303 Washington. Police report the suspect, described as Mexican, struck Rebecca Roch with a bottle causing head injuries. The case is being investigated by Capt. Frank Murphy and Patrolman John Moore.
