Mrs Laura Radcliff Pyle 64 longtime Lawton resident and First Baptist church member died Tuesday night of heart ailment after six months ill health. She was married to Jim Radcliff Lawson who died in 1928 and to Emil Pyle in 1942. Survived by sisters Florence Williams and Bessie Black and brother Ben Black, with other relatives. Services tentatively set for 2 20 p m Thursday at First Baptist Church.

Traffic Light Bids Sought For City Intersections
The city council will re verse bids February 24 for purchase and installation of traffic signal lights at four Second Street intersections. Unofficial estimates place total cost near five thousand dollars. The council also delayed a decision on a clinic building at 605 607 Gore by Dr. W F Lewis, forwarding the plan to the planning and zoning commission for study, with signatures from neighbors mostly favorable. The Morford addition plat No 2 was brought into the city limits. Plans for paving E avenue will proceed after a six day notice and 15 day protest period beginning February 14. Goodwin a 70 year old Lawton resident of 1421 Oklahoma street suffered critical injuries when struck by an auto at about 10 45 a m near the intersection of highways 277 and 386 He sustained facial injuries head and body bruises and lacerations He was taken to Southwestern hospital State Trooper Glen Parr identified the driver as Harlan Valentine Wood 54 of Oklahoma City who said the pedestrian suddenly cut across the highway Wood said he was traveling about 45 miles an hour The impact threw Goodwin about 80 feet and broke the right windshield The trooper said the investigation was incomplete.

Lawton resident Mrs Earl Lear died at 1 45 am today at her home 74 Bell after a four month illness She was born Lovie R Taylor in Aubrey Texas and moved to Grandfield as a girl She married Earl Lear in June 1944 in Grandfield and they later settled in Lawton Mr Lear died July 26 1945 She worked for Hinme Building and Loan and later served as deputy in the County Clerk office before becoming secretary of the Lawton Community Chest for a year and a half She was active at Centenary Methodist church directing its choir in 1937 and 1938 Survivors include a sister Mrs Elizabeth Hutson of Grandfield
