The Lawton Chamber of Commerce with the Oklahoma Safety Council offers two OSHA training sessions at the Public Service Company building on Sept 17. Morning 9 a.m. OSHA recordkeeping rules and form changes. afternoon 1 30 p.m. Keeping Up with OSHA rules and inspection procedures. Fees 15 and 25 dollars per person include materials and standards sets.

Restitution Made Charge Dismissed in Local Embezzlement Case
An embezzlement charge against Frank Sales, 21, Cache, was dismissed after he paid 450 restitution to the Complainant and the Comanche County Sheriff Office. Sales had allegedly misused funds while working as an undercover narcotics agent for investigator Nick Alderson in Cache. He disappeared and was arrested Monday evening on a warrant by Alderson at Gibson's Discount Center.

Fire Department Responds to Multiple Blazes In Local Area
Lowton fire crews answered several calls this Tuesday and Wednesday. Grass fires occurred at 1605 Jefferson and the 15th and Jefferson area. Minor house fire reported at 512 Park and a car fire at 26th and Cowie Road. Additional grass and heavy house fire calls followed at 1900 block Douglas and 1900 block fire on Wednesday morning.
