Balloon test to study high altitude bailout with manikin
Air Force plans a 92 000 foot unmanned balloon test from New Brighton Minnesota using a manikin in the gondola to simulate human joints. If successful, summer tests will use volunteers at Wright Air Development Center to reach the same altitude with automated parachute deployments and recovery.
