Turtle returns after wandering 14 years to Elko yard
An unnamed desert turtle that left the Fordin yard in spring 1964 reappeared last week after traveling for 14 years. A wire loop and red paint on the shell confirmed identity as the same animal first seen in 1963. The turtle grew about two inches to a 12 inch length.
