New Tag System For Oklahoma Drivers The Plan
Oklahoma motorists face a staggered tag purchase starting in July with local tag agents unsure of how the process will operate as meetings between the Oklahoma Tag Agents Association and the State Tax Commission address details. James Starr of Altus leads the association and outlines a proposal where drivers would delay buying new tags until December and pay a pro rated fee. The plan would require motorists to obtain a second tag in 1979 in the month matching the last digit of their current tag, such as a tag ending in 2 expiring in February.
