Former Lawrence Mayor pleads guilty to theft from food charity
Jeremy Farmer, former Lawrence mayor and executive director of Just Food, admitted in Topeka federal court to interstate transportation of stolen funds linked to embezzlement at the Douglas County food pantry. He resigned in 2015 after payroll tax issues surfaced. he also altered financial records to conceal theft.

Parade of Schools Opens Doors Across Lawrence

Hamm Landfill to Build 16 Million Methane Plant and Pipeline
