Lawrence woman killed in head on highway crash
A Lawrence woman, Kelly Fowler, 51, died at the scene after a head on collision with a northbound pickup driven by Austin Michael Rose, 32, of Eudora on U.S. 24 40 near Tonganoxie. Rose was injured and taken to KU Hospital. Passengers Regan Fowler, 16, and Ariyah Salleck, 1, were not listed as hospitalized. Both drivers wore seat belts.

Man accused of shaking infant faces felony charge
Lawrence man Derek Edmonds, 24, is charged with abuse of a child after allegedly shaking a 3 month old on Sept. 15.
