Anything Goes shines on Lied Center stage in 2 3/4 hour romp
The national tour of Anything Goes filled the Lied Center with Jazz Age flair as Shannon Polly dazzled as Reno and Jim Hesselman led as Billy Crocker. An eight piece band on deck accompanied vaudeville humor and Cole Porter classics while a rotating stage created ocean liner locales. Read as a lively tribute to live theater with period gowns and brisk tap numbers.
