Kenneth M Peterson age 64 of Manhattan died September 19 2011 at his home He was born July 22 1947 in Colby Kansas son of Ernest Milton and Doris Ruby Marcu son Peterson Ken grew up atwood Kansas on the family farm He graduated Kansas State University in 1969 with a degree in Biochemistry He served two years in the US Army during the Vietnam War attaining rank of Captain He later worked as a crop adjuster for Rain and Hail and as a Field Supervisor for the state of Kansas moving to Manhattan in 1999 He married Patricia June White on January 29 1967 in Kansas City Missouri He is survived by his wife Patricia two children Shannon Kimball and Jason of Lawrence and William Peterson and Diane of Overland Park his mother Doris at Atwood two brothers Wayne and Ardis of Junction City and Gregory Brenda of Atwood and three grandchildren Ian Logan Kimball and Sydney Peterson Cremation is planned with memorial services at 2:00 PM Saturday at Yorgensen Meloan Londeen Funeral Chapel Pastor Pat Weyrauch officiating Memorial contributions may go to Turtle Creek Lake Association Youth Fishing Clinic care of Yorgensen Meloan Londeen Funeral Home 1616 Poyntz Avenue Manhattan KS 66502.
