Pelican wins 3-D computer program in Masters of Innovation
Kansas University architectural engineering graduate student Pelican developed a 3-D color separation concept for computer graphics that won first place in Zenith sponsored Masters of Innovation. He earned 5000 in Zenith equipment and the architecture department won a matching prize. Pelican, a Manila native, studied depth perception and used cardboard glasses with color separation to render 3-D images. He paired his work with AutoCAD and AutoShade and did much of the project himself in KU’s Technology Center.

Douglas County earns praise for chemical emergency plan
