Born August 15, 1919 in Prattsville Arkansas, she taught English drama and music, led youth programs, and held multiple church and community roles. Prosecutors in northeastern Kansas filed first degree murder charges against John Meredith Hodges for the death of Dr. Franchesca Brown a Myrtle Beach pediatrician. Brown's body was found Sept 12 near an Overland Park hotel. Hodges fled to South America and was later captured in Colombia. He is tied to Brown as an occasional boyfriend and faces credit card fraud and identity theft charges in addition to murder.
