State approves pay raises for 4300 workers
Kansas officials approved 11.2 million dollars in raises for 4300 state employees earning below private sector levels. More than 1000 corrections officers receive 7.5 percent increases, taking effect this pay period. The Finance Council backed the plan unanimously despite some budget concerns.
