New envelope-free ATMs cut deposits costs and boost receipts
Wells Fargo and Bank of America are rolling out envelope-free deposit ATMs that scan checks and display check images on receipts. The tech costs more upfront but could save banks about 1.1 dollars per transaction, reduce armored-car runs, and improve deposit records for customers and staff.
