Pet owners plan suit over Katrina dog killings in parish
In St Bernard Parish, owners of 33 dogs and two cats found shot at Beauregard Middle School, St Bernard High, and Sebastien Boy Elementary plan a civil suit against the parish sheriff and deputies. They allege destruction of property, intentional distress, and negligent hiring. Investigations by wildlife officials and a Washington group inform the case. Pasado's Safe Haven backs the suit with a $25,000 reward offer that has drawn no responses.
