Kansas to open South Lawrence Trafficway before Thanksgiving
The Kansas Department of Transportation says the east leg of the South Lawrence Trafficway remains on schedule and is expected to open before Thanksgiving. The six mile highway will connect Kansas Highway 10 to U.S. Highway 59, easing traffic on 23rd and Iowa streets and boosting Lawrence retail. Bridge work, paving, markings, signing, grading, and seeding remain, with an opening date not yet set.
