Tarpon freighter sinks off East Pass with 25 aboard
Gulf coast freighter Tarpon went down several miles off East Pass Fla at 8 45 am yesterday about 25 men aboard. Addley Baker of Mobile swam ashore and reported most of the crew survived or were rescued. He noted a tropical storm earlier and that the ship listed to starboard before sinking in two minutes.
