Lawrence library expansion faces 18 million bond plan
Lawrence plans an 72,000 square foot library expansion with an $18 million bond and a 1.5 mill levy, raising taxes for residents and affecting total levies through 2012. The project includes a public parking garage and renovations while private fundraising targets $1 million for furnishings.
