Douglas County mortgage filings and bankruptcy filings report
The Douglas County register of deeds recorded 161 mortgages in the week ending Tuesday with value brackets from under 50,000 to over 500,000. No Douglas County residents filed for bankruptcy in the District of Kansas since the Oct. 17 rule change, while statewide reports show 51 new cases to date and 551 on Oct. 16, including 41 from Douglas County.

KSNA elects Mitchell treasurer and Teel to board of directors
