Yogi Berra Signs Three Year Pact To Manage Mets
Haworth New Jersey AP Yogi Berra agreed Tuesday to manage the New York Mets for three summers at Shea Stadium with a substantial reported salary and security provisions. The deal comes after the Mets finished the season with a World Series loss to Oakland and amid talk of manager changes. Berra noted the team improved late in the season and reflected on past firing after 1964.
