Washington Oct 24 President Roosevelt came back to the White House at 9 a m after a four month country tour and a Pacific and Atlantic cruise. He was greeted by Mrs Roosevelt and top cabinet officials and planned a Hull meeting on the Italo Ethiopian neutrality issue. Aides reported hopeful economic signs as he disembarked in Charleston. DIES IN A RAID OPENS ON FRIDAY
County and city officers staged a liquor raid at the home of Fred Simons six miles west of Lone Star. Simons died shortly after being found wounded by shotgun blast above the heart. Chester Mowder was captured after leaping from a second story window as officers entered. About 165 gallons of mash and five gallons of liquor were seized. Hog Prices Fall as New Crop Reaches Market
