Bechard shines as LHS setter in Sunflower League drive
Ashley Bechard moved from Great Bend to Lawrence the year before her sophomore season and became a standout setter for Lawrence High. An all-Sunflower League pick as a junior, she leads the league in assists per game and hitting percentage as LHS gears for the Class 6A sub state at Olathe South. Her left-handed touch and clever second-ball attack keep defenses off balance, with coach Jo Huntsinger praising her growth and impact.
