Remains of mobster’s girlfriend found near Bulger home
The body of Debra Davis, 27, missing since September 1981 after a family trip to Acapulco, was exhumed Thursday near James Whitey Bulger’s former residence. Investigators followed a mob insider tip who cooperated in a plea bargain. Davis’ mother had earlier implicated Davis’ boyfriend Stephen Flemmi, a Bulger associate.

Court rules on mental illness case forcing meds
The state Supreme Court ruled unanimously that a court can order anti psychotic drugs for an involuntarily committed mentally ill patient if it is in the patient’s best interest. A patient lacking capacity to consent may also be medicated, if a less intrusive treatment is unavailable. Previously doctors could only forcibly medicate if the person posed immediate danger.
