City delivers 1000 green trash carts as Lawrence rolls out program
Lawrence crews delivered about 1000 green plastic trash carts and plan to ship roughly 19000 more as the city requires use of city issued carts. Behrig Pacific plant in De Soto supplied carts and leaders expect two semitrailer loads per day until every home receives a cart by November 9. Tammy Bennett notes deliveries run daylight to dusk with Saturday work and packets inform residents on the new program.
