House may have new owner after county bid
The South Lawrence Trafficway affected Meseraull house at 1393 N. 1293 Rd could change hands after Douglas County Commission votes at 9 a.m. Monday at the Douglas County Courthouse. Richard Holder of Lawrence submitted the winning bid for the property, which the Kansas Department of Transportation previously acquired with other right of way parcels.

Douglas County considers a $15 600 bid to move a two story house by February 15. Heat's On local plumbers aid 35 Lawrence homes
Service technician Dave Sparkes and apprentice Shawn Wagner volunteered for the Heat's On program sponsored by Local 763 Chaney Huxtable Associates and Kansas Public Service.
