A committee of banking officials announced the distribution of 1 046.80 from the 1965 Lawrence Charity Horse Show. Proceeds will aid the Douglas County Association for Retarded Children, Children's Hour, Douglas County Humane Society, and Social Service League. The event also directed over 1 000 to the county commissioners for Douglas County 4 H Fairgrounds improvements. Jack Mitchell, KU football coach, headed the Lawrence Horse Show for the second year. The show previously directed a similar amount to community projects.
