Police officer H A Gerry reported the car struck a railroad track leaped 54 feet through the air and landed upright then slid 172 feet more before hitting the front steps of the L L Thompson residence and breaking an apple tree before rolling over twice and stopping upright. Detroit October 9 A Black Legion colonel told a circuit judge today that Wayne County prosecutor Duncan C McCrea belonged to the Black Legion and helped prosecute himself and eleven other members for the roadside execution of Charles A Poole.
