Seven proposals received for new city police headquarters
City officials, led by City Manager David Corliss, announced seven proposals from property owners to sell 12 to 15 acres for a police headquarters complex potentially up to 100,000 square feet with parking. Sites include near Rock Chalk Park, South Iowa Street shopping corridor, and an eastern Lawrence district, but officials will consider additional properties and may choose none of the proposed lots.

KU faculty back Guth free speech rights over NRA tweet
