Japan’s worst nuclear accident prompts apology and scrutiny

A Tokaimura plant accident prompted an apology from operators as officials criticize lax regulation and slow government response. Radiation levels near Tokyo returned to normal after workers diverted water and poured boric acid to halt the fission. Lecompton eyes growth with planned development boom

Lecompton officials push for a large development that could triple town size and population of 750. Archives to Burn Nixon Tape Copies Shredded

The National Archives will shred about 5,000 copies made from 3,700 hours of Nixon tapes in the next few months.
