Kansas tax receipts dip as income taxes miss targets

Tax numbers show Kansas businesses investing and citizens spending more, but individual income tax collections for the past three months came in below projections. The state expected 580 million but brought in under 575 million, about 5.2 million less or 0.9 percent. The shortfall comes after aggressive income tax cuts pushed by GOP Governor Sam Brownback and a Republican legislature.
