Farm cooperatives vote for merger

Kansas City AP report says Farmland Industries and Far-Mar Co directors approved a merger plan. Farmland’s annual convention will discuss the merger as Far-Mar Co votes at its Denver meeting Feb 10-11. Farmland posted 1.8 billion in sales for the year ending Aug 31, with the merger likely pushing near 3 billion.
