Youth Gets Life For Killing Mom
A 19 year old Melrose youth received a life sentence after pleading guilty to second degree murder in the death of his mother Eleanor Seaver 42 found beaten and stabbed in a Melrose closet. The crime followed her refusal to approve his marriage to a Negro girl. Richard Seaver was arrested on a purse snatching charge leading to the Jan 4 murder discovery.
