Rescue of 400 Motorists Near Salina After Snowstorm
About 400 motorists and bus passengers stranded between New Cambria and Solomon were rescued early Wednesday by a Union Pacific train. A highway 40 pileup, caused by a skidding truck, blocked the road Tuesday night. A bus from Manhattan to Salina, carrying Kansas State College students home for Thanksgiving, was among the vehicles.
