Florida’s uncounted ballots exceed 180000 in pivotal race
Orlando Sentinel survey across 67 counties shows up to 180,000 ballots didn’t count for president due to human error machine glitches and voter choices. Nearly 3 percent of 6.1 million valid ballots were spoiled or under votes, with punch-card counties the hardest hit and central tabulation tying to higher under counts.

County vote totals double counted due to new software
Douglas County reported a ballot miscount last week after staff using Election Systems and Software Inc. software double added advance ballots to totals. Officials said the error, detected before printing, was due to a box left unchecked. State officials note such discrepancies can occur on Election Night and certify totals by Nov. 21.
