KU architecture students from the University discuss a 10 year campus plan for Haskell Indian Junior College Kansas at a 9 30 am Tuesday presentation in the HJC auditorium. Family Released After Fire At Home In Lawrence

The Haas family and their five week old son Daniel were released today from Lawrence Memorial Hospital after being treated for smoke inhalation from a Saturday fire at their home 587 Schwarz Rd. Fire Chief F C Sanders said the blaze started from a cigarette in an overstuffed recliner and caused about 8000 dollars in damage.

Kaw Valley Enduro Draws 360 Cyclists in 100 Mile Race

Lawrence Wheelsports Club hosted the seventh Kaw Valley Enduro cross country motorcycle race. Robert Smith said 360 riders started the 100 mile endurance event and 90 finished. About 1,200 spectators attended. no local winners were declared.
