About twelve farmers and businessmen signed up to go, with aims to form dairy extension activities, testing, calf clubs, and marketing studies for local dairying growth.

Election results show J. N. Johnson declared state senator for the Fifth district with a growing final tally possible after Jefferson County counts. He carried Douglas County by 802 votes and Jefferson County by 1,612, with incomplete Jefferson precincts still to report.
