Police: 12 arrests at Halloween DUI checkpoint in Lawrence
Lawrence police conducted a Halloween night DUI checkpoint in the 1100 block of Tennessee Street from midnight to 3 am, resulting in 12 arrests and 36 traffic citations. Officers tested 23 drivers, with three drug investigations and three open-container citations. Total DUI arrests in Lawrence from Friday night to Monday morning reached 34.

Snow and road prep plans outline for Lawrence winter

Drake sought in Topeka abduction case. warned armed and dangerous
