Wetlands grant aids Baker to restore true wetlands
Baker University administrator Roger Boyd announced a 12000 dollar grant from the U S Fish and Wildlife Service to rehydrate the Baker Wetlands south of Lawrence. The funds will fund a survey of 73 acres, culvert work, tree removal, seed purchases, and brush mowing to regain proper water levels and native prairie vegetation.
